Sue Halliwell (Associate)

Media dreams come true

A long time ago Sue Halliwell was a young teacher with dreams. She dreamt of working with whales and cameras, of writing exciting adventures, and of taking to the stage to express and communicate the things she believed in. Most of all though, she dreamt of making a difference in peoples lives, and she wanted that difference to be a profound one.

Twenty-five years on, those dreams are a reality. Today Sue Halliwell is a media specialist and in that capacity an associate of Evoke. Now Sue is still teaching media studies to organisations and businesses that need to optimise all their media relations. Sue is also a freelance journalist, researching and writing for newspapers, magazines, and television documentaries.

Her love of cameras and the environment blended perfectly when she developed and implemented media presentation workshops for conservation organisations. For them, the camera and the written word have become effective tools with which their employees and volunteers channel an important message.

- Trained Teachers Certificate
- Diploma of Journalism
- Bachelor of Art studies

The same is true for any corporate client. As a communicator, motivator, and media expert, Sue's own presentation skills help clients understand and use communication techniques with greater confidence, self-motivation and greater positive impact.

Sue believes each of us has a dream and that no dream is without the possibility of becoming real. She lives her dream now, and through Evoke she helps clients find and live their own. It's a full life and she still finds time every year to take whale enthusiasts from all over the globe to watch and swim with the humpback whales in Tonga.
